Arab Bank – Syria was established in 2005 as a Syrian public joint-stock company and is a member of the Arab Bank Group, which is considered one of the largest Arab banking networks worldwide. The Group operates through more than 600 branches across 30 countries,  with its headquarters located in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Arab Bank – Syria has built upon, and continues to benefit from, thes extensive experience and expertise accumulated by Arab Bank over the years. The bank has established strategic foundations for its launch and expansion in Syria, with a strong commitment to achieving its principles and values, which are centered around fostering genuine economic and social development.

Among the key strategic pillars of Arab Bank – Syria are a clear strategic vision, sound and prudent management, a strong capital base, and high-quality assets. The bank officially commenced its operations in 2006, providing a full range of banking services through its Head Office located in the Abu Rummaneh area of Damascus, in addition to its branch network spread across various governorates of the Syrian Arab Republic.

The bank has sought to establish a balanced geographical presence and develop a diversified customer base. In order to strengthen its capital base and support the expansion of its operational activities, Arab Bank – Syria increased its paid-up capital to reach SYP 100 million.
